Privacy Policy

Plain-language notice: This policy is informational and is not legal advice to you. It describes the information practices we can verify in the Linked-do-Books website and customer journey today. It does not replace advice about the privacy rules that may apply to your business or situation.

Who is responsible for your information

Linked-do-Books is a brand of Linkedd LLC, a Montana limited liability company (file no. C1631496), 226 S Cruse Ave, Helena, MT 59601. Linkedd LLC is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Privacy questions: tyreeg@linkeddllc.com or (406) 500-5242; mail: Linkedd LLC, 226 S Cruse Ave, Helena, MT 59601.

Linked-do-Books (“Linked-do-Books,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides remote bookkeeping and related services for small businesses. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, where it goes, and the choices available to you when you visit this website, contact us, request a free resource, upload documents, or become a client.

1. The two kinds of information we handle

It helps to distinguish website and lead information from engagement and client financial records:

Client records can contain information about other people, such as employees, contractors, customers, or vendors. Please share only information you are authorized to provide and only what is reasonably needed for the work.

2. What we collect on the website

3. Why we use this information

We do not use uploaded financial documents for advertising. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

3. Email, follow-up, and suppression choices

Resource requests trigger the email you asked for: the checklist PDF or your Health Score result. The checklist and quiz pages also explain that we send four brief educational bookkeeping notes over the following two weeks. Those follow-ups are separate from operational messages such as a document receipt, scheduling message, service communication, or other message needed to respond to your request or provide a paid service.

Each educational follow-up includes an unsubscribe link. Using it marks the associated resource follow-up sequence as unsubscribed and skips pending messages in that sequence. If the email system reports that an address is suppressed or opted out, the sequence is stopped. An educational unsubscribe does not necessarily stop a message that is genuinely needed to deliver a requested resource, acknowledge an upload, provide a service, or handle your account. You may also contact us to ask us to stop non-essential marketing or educational messages; we will apply suppression where applicable.

4. Cookies, local storage, and site logs

The customer-facing site uses first-party browser storage for a short-lived source record and a secure owner-only cookie for the private owner area. It does not set analytics or advertising cookies (Mixpanel analytics uses local storage, described below):

5. Who may receive information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share information only as needed to operate Linked-do-Books and provide what you request. The service providers (data recipients) that may receive information are:

We may also disclose information when the law requires it. Please do not send passwords, bank logins, tax IDs, Social Security numbers, or full card numbers through chat, email, or forms. These providers have their own privacy notices and retention practices.

6. How we protect client records

We use client information only to perform the services you request and to communicate about that work, and we limit access to people who need it. Safeguards in place today include: the owner area (leads, uploads, purchases) requires a password plus a one-time code sent by email, with server-side session expiry and sign-in lockout after repeated failures; uploads require a personal, expiring link; uploaded files are kept in private storage with no public link; the site is served only over HTTPS; and public forms use request limits. We ask for read-only or limited access to your systems where possible and remove our access when an engagement ends. No website or electronic transmission is risk-free. If we learn of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you and any authorities as the law requires.

7. Retention schedule

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes below, then delete it, securely dispose of it, or de-identify it:

We may keep information longer if the law requires it or to resolve a dispute. Copies held by email, chat, hosting, payment, accounting, or AI providers follow those providers’ own retention controls.

8. Access, deletion, and other requests

You may contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you or to request correction or deletion where applicable. Please include enough detail for us to identify the request, and do not include sensitive documents in the contact form unless we ask for them. We may need to verify the request and may keep information we reasonably need for an ongoing engagement, legitimate business records, fraud or abuse prevention, dispute resolution, or other recordkeeping needs. A deletion request to us may not delete information held independently by a payment, chat, email, hosting, or referral service.

If you no longer want educational or marketing messages, use the unsubscribe link in the message or tell us through the contact page. Suppression records may need to be retained so we can honor that request.

California and other U.S. state privacy rights. We do not sell personal information and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and similar state privacy laws, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know and access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a portable copy, and to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out for that browser. To make a request, contact tyreeg@linkeddllc.com or (406) 500-5242; we may need to verify your identity, and you may use an authorized agent. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

9. Children

Linked-do-Books is intended for business owners and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children through these services.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website, services, or information practices change. We will post the revised policy here and update the “Last updated” date.
