One-time catch-up bookkeeping

Catch-Up Bookkeeping: Get Your Overdue Books Current

Get your overdue books current — then build a better monthly rhythm.

If your business records have fallen behind, Books Clean-Up is the focused starting point. We use efficient, technology-assisted workflows to organize the backlog, reconcile the accounts, and surface discrepancies, with careful human review before producing clean reporting for ongoing monthly bookkeeping. Many owners start in the fall so the year’s books are reconciled before they meet with their tax preparer.

Your next steps with Linked-do-Books

What happens after you inquire, book, or purchase?

You do not have to guess where records or questions go. Here is the simple handoff for monthly bookkeeping, Books Clean-Up, e-commerce bookkeeping, and CFO-Lite Advisory.

New inquiry timing: We generally review new inquiries within one business day. Replies about active work depend on the question, the records involved, and current workload.

Prefer to talk? Call the official business line: (406) 500-5242.

01

Start with a short conversation

Use the Contact Us form to explain what you need without attaching records. You can also call (406) 500-5242. We will clarify fit, scope, and the best starting point.

02

Review your next-step email

After you book or purchase, look for the Linked-do-Books follow-up and your Client Services Agreement. It will identify the agreed scope, first requests, access needs, and deliverables. If your books are behind, Clean-Up may come before monthly work.

03

Share records; invite access

Send documents through the designated upload page only when Linked-do-Books directs you there. For QuickBooks, Xero, Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, or another platform, invite Linked-do-Books as an accountant, user, or authorized collaborator inside that platform.

04

Expect a steady working rhythm

We may ask for missing records or clarification. Ongoing clients can expect a monthly status update with completed work, open questions, and reviewed reporting once the records for the period are ready.

What each service looks like next

A clear path from first handoff to useful work.

Monthly bookkeeping

Provide the requested records and platform access; receive reviewed categorization, reconciliations, and the reports included in your plan.

Books Clean-Up

Send the backlog records for the selected scope. We work through categorization, reconciliation, and discrepancies, then provide the agreed clean-up reporting.

E-commerce bookkeeping

Invite access to your store and payment platforms and provide payout, fee, inventory, and channel records as requested for the monthly close.

CFO-Lite Advisory

For qualified prospects, start with clean, current books and the business context needed for monthly financial context, KPI review, and a structured quarterly business review when that advisory work is included in the agreed scope.

Share records, never credentials: Public forms, chat, and email are for introductory questions—not passwords, bank logins or bank credentials, tax IDs, Social Security numbers, full card numbers, security codes, or similar sensitive information. There is no login-protected client portal on this website. If you are unsure where something belongs, ask first without attaching it.

Who does the work

Founder-led bookkeeping with human review.

Linked-do-Books is led by its founder, Tyree Gosha. AI-assisted tools speed up routine steps such as suggesting categories and drafting notes; a person reviews client deliverables before they reach you.

A clear next step

Not sure which starting point fits?

Use the existing contact form to describe what your business needs—current books, a backlog, selling channels, or decision-support questions. The Linked-do-Books team can clarify fit and scope with you, then point you to the relevant next step.

What your clean-up covers

The number of months behind sets the scope of the backlog — the core deliverables stay focused on making your books usable again, with efficient workflows and careful review throughout.

Backlog categorization

Transactions left uncategorized are organized into the right accounts with modern workflow support, then reviewed in the context of the cleanup scope.

Account reconciliation

Bank and credit card activity is matched to statements and reviewed so the books reflect the accounts they are meant to represent.

Discrepancy resolution

Unmatched balances and inconsistencies are investigated and resolved as part of bringing the records current.

Clean financial reporting

Receive a clean Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet report for the period covered by your selected clean-up, ready to support the next monthly close.

Priced by how far behind you are

Books Clean-Up pricing

One-time project pricing: $150 for each month your books are behind, with a $600 minimum (4 months or fewer) and a $1,800 cap (12 months or more). You choose the number of months at checkout and see the total before you pay.

The Linked-do-Books Guarantee

Two guarantees, in plain language.

  1. 30-day money-back guarantee. Subscription plans (bookkeeping, e-commerce bookkeeping, and CFO-Lite Advisory): if you are not satisfied for any reason, tell us within 30 days of your first payment and we will refund your first month’s fee in full. On an annual prepay plan, we refund one month’s equivalent: one-twelfth of the annual payment ($169.15 on Lite, $211.65 on Starter, $339.15 on Growth, $551.65 on Full-Service); the rest of the annual payment is not refunded. Books Clean-Up: the project fee is refundable in full if you cancel before work has started. Once we have started work on your records, the Clean-Up fee is non-refundable, except as required by law or under the accuracy guarantee below.
  2. Accuracy guarantee. If we make a bookkeeping error, you choose: we correct it at no charge, or we refund our fee for the month (or months) affected.

The conditions, in plain language:

  • Claim window: tell us within 90 days of discovering the problem. The 30-day money-back guarantee must be claimed within 30 days of your first payment.
  • The accuracy guarantee applies when you gave us accurate, complete information and approvals on time.
  • None of these guarantees covers tax you owe anyway (the underlying tax itself) or work done by someone else or before our engagement began, and they do not cover problems caused by late, incomplete, or inaccurate information from you or a third party.
  • The 30-day money-back guarantee applies once per client, to the first payment of a new engagement. Refunds go back to your original payment method.
  • How to claim: email tyreeg@linkeddllc.com, call (406) 500-5242, or use our contact form, and tell us which engagement and what went wrong. There is no fee to make a claim.
  • These guarantees relate to our bookkeeping work. They do not promise tax savings, a particular tax or IRS result, or business results, and they add to (they do not limit) any rights you have under law.

The same guarantee appears in our Terms.

Step two: keep your books current

Cleanup is the starting point, not the finish line.

Once your books are current, continue with the existing Starter, Growth, or Full-Service monthly bookkeeping plan. A steady monthly rhythm helps keep records current, reconciled, and understandable going forward.

Books Clean-Up FAQ

What to expect from catch-up bookkeeping

What is the difference between catch-up and clean-up bookkeeping?

Catch-up bookkeeping records activity that was never entered; clean-up corrects records that were entered but are miscategorized or unreconciled. Linked-do-Books’ Books Clean-Up covers the backlog within your selected scope: backlog categorization, account reconciliation, discrepancy resolution, and a clean Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.

How much does Books Clean-Up cost?

$150 for each month your books are behind, as a one-time project, with a $600 minimum (4 months or fewer) and a $1,800 cap (12 months or more). For example, 6 months behind is $900. Not sure how far behind you are? Take the free Bookkeeping Health Score.

How do I share my records?

When Linked-do-Books directs you, send statements, receipts, and invoices through the designated upload page. For accounting software or payment platforms, invite Linked-do-Books as an accountant or authorized user inside that platform. Never send passwords or bank logins through a form.

What happens after the clean-up?

Cleanup is the starting point. Once your books are current, continue with the Starter, Growth, or Full-Service monthly bookkeeping plan to keep records current, reconciled, and understandable.

Does Books Clean-Up include filing back tax returns?

No. Books Clean-Up is bookkeeping work. Preparing or filing tax returns and advising on tax positions stays with a licensed tax professional, who can work from the cleaned-up records (see bookkeeping vs. tax prep).
