Remote Bookkeeping for Montana Small Businesses: How It Works

Linked-do-Books ·

Montana businesses can be far from the nearest bookkeeper's office. Remote bookkeeping removes that problem: your records move online, the work happens online, and you get reviewed reports without anyone making a drive.

Linked-do-Books is a bookkeeping brand of Linkedd LLC, a Montana LLC with its mailing and legal address in Helena. We work 100% remotely with small businesses in Montana and across the U.S.

What "remote bookkeeping" actually means

With remote bookkeeping, the same core work a bookkeeper would do in person happens through the platforms you already use:

  1. You invite us in. Inside QuickBooks, Xero, Shopify, Stripe, PayPal or another platform, you add Linked-do-Books as an accountant, user or authorized collaborator. You never share your password.
  2. You send records when asked. Statements, receipts and invoices go through a designated client upload page, only when we direct you to it.
  3. We do the monthly close. We categorize transactions, reconcile bank and card accounts, and investigate differences.
  4. A person reviews it. AI-assisted tools speed up routine steps like suggesting categories and drafting notes. A person reviews client deliverables before they reach you.
  5. You get reports plus a plain-language note. The note highlights one or two meaningful numbers or trends, explains what changed and why it matters, and ends with one practical question or next action.

No in-person visits are required.

Is remote bookkeeping right for your business?

It tends to fit if:

It may not fit if you need tax preparation, tax advice or IRS representation from the same provider. Linked-do-Books does bookkeeping only and refers tax matters to independent licensed tax professionals. Read Remote Bookkeeping vs a CPA Firm to see which you need.
